New Features & Functionality | Details |
---|---|
Admin Menu | We have updated our core admin & agent menu. We have added a front end ‘Search’, which allows agents to search itineraries, which could be internally created packages, or itineraries from tour operators, and also to search and view ‘things to do’ based on destination. Additionally, for those with admin permissions, we have extracted content mange functions from Business Tools, and dropped them into a new group dropdown called 'Manage@.
|
Itinerary Manager | We are renaming Products to Itineraries. With Itinerary Manager, you can create a range of complex travel itineraries for internal or external use. Once created, an agent can use these itineraries to create a quote in seconds. They can also be used to drive front end website pages and links for social media promotions. |
Accommodation (Previously Hotels) | We’re changing the name of our Hotels section to Accommodation |
Things To Do | Destination Linked Content is changing to Things To Do. This section of our platform contains content which really brings travel to life. It could be attractions, places of interest, events or excursions. They can can have a commercial angle or they can be just informational. They can be pulled into travel itineraries, quotes or shown on your website or through our App and we will be adding 3rd party providers over the coming months so watch this space! |
Taxonomy Terminology | We have introduced more taxonomy options to the platform. This will allow you to control the names of 'Itineraries', 'Accommodations' and 'Things To Do' as well as your Sales Specialist. This will only be public facing, terminology across the admin area of TProfile will be retained. |
Core Templates | We have introduced core quote templates. As we expand our Itinerary providers, its important to use quote templates which showcase their itineraries in the best possible way. You will begin to see more core templates added to the platform over the next few months. In some cases these will be locked to ensure consistence. Functionality Explained
|
Itinerary Specific Templates | We have added the the ability to set Itinerary templates. These are designed to be used on the front end of TProfile, so clients using TProfile to run their websites, can set different templates for different itineraries if they wish. |
Itinerary Duration | We have added duration to the filter options on Itineraries |
Itinerary URL Query String | You can now pass a query string to the URL to land customers on a specific set of filtered itinerary results. Basically this means you can create a single link that will, for example, show itineraries from a single tour operator, or a single resort or destination, or cruises for a single ship, etc. An excellent promotional tool for many applications, including social media posts. |
Itinerary Search Retention | We have added search retentions which means when browsing itineraries, when a users clicks into an itinerary, if they click back they will be in the same place as before on the search results. |
Itinerary Caching | We have added itinerary caching to the itinerary details page. This has vastly improved speed for the end user. |
Creating a quote from a Itinerary | When an agent creates a quote from an itinerary, we have improved the layout and details displayed, helping them to find and browse available itineraries more efficiently.
|
Itinerary Manager | We have improved the layout and details displayed on Itinerary Manager, helping administrators manage Itineraries more efficiently.
|
GDPR Preferences | We have created a section within the admin customer area and customer portal where contract preferences can be stored. All customer marketing data can be downloaded from here. There is also the ability to manage business marketing preferences in the platform settings.
|
Things to do Admin Filter | We have improved the admin filter on Things To Do.
|
Front End Speed Improvements | We have started serving particular scripts on specific components, as required. This reduced the file size and means only required scripts are called on pages that need them. We have various other speed increases in the pipeline that will greatly improve overall performance. |
Customer Portal Document Uploader | Customers can now attach document attachments to their messages via their Travel Portal |
Cloudflare Image Compression | We are looking into offering Cloudflare to customers who run their front end websites with us. This 3rd party tool will essentially reduce image file sizes and serve them back in a better format for google. You will need to set-up your own Cloudflare account and there will also be a set-up charge. If you would more details, please get in touch. |
Unassigned History | If you have inbound emails configured, we have added a menu link to the Unassigned Emails page where any email we haven’t been able to match can be manually managed. |
Tour Operators | Finally, I can confirm we are actively working on additional operator integrations that will introduce a whole new range of itineraries for agents to use in quotes, websites and social media promotions. |
