Component/FixDetails
Product Manager

I am really pleased to confirm that we have now introduced 'Product Manager' into the Business Tools. This will be a huge benefit in creating quotes for customers and will provide the basis for future profile matching and promotion. I'll send out a summary note on the latter at a later date but lets look at what you can do with Product Manager today.

In summary, Product Manager will allow administrators and central marketing teams to create specific products and save them in TProfile. These products can range from simple single stays with excursions, multi centre itineraries with a large number of components, single cruise products with some additional components, back to back cruises and so much more. Once these products have been created they can then be pulled directly into quotes. We have added an additional method to create a quote, that being 'Create from a product'. There are then optional methods to adjust the start date, which will effectively re-order the itinerary from a single date entry. Hope you like it....details below :-

You will find Product Manager under Business Tools.

Start by going into 'Product Manager' and click 'Add Product'

The next stage is to add the product details which is the name of the product, the category or multiple categories, the destination or multiple destinations and the brand it is applicable to. If applicable to all brands just leave this blank.

This will then add the product to the list. Click on the 'tick' icon at the end of the row and go into 'Edit Product'.

You are then presented with an empty itinerary from which you can begin to build a product by adding components. With Cruise you can add a single cruise/ferry leg or you can bring in a full cruise itinerary. You can also use the new 'back to back' cruise option noted below.

The itinerary will be automatically saved and you can simply close or return to another section when completed.

Category Settings

The categories referred to above in Product Manager are managed via business Tools > Platform Settings > Products.

You can then click on 'ADD CATEGORY' to add a new category. Simply add the category name and choose the 'holiday' types you wish to assign this category to. So for example you may add 'culture' and assign that to city breaks, river cruise, summer sun, multi centre, tour, etc. This process will allow detailed matching, personalisation and additional searching on products in later releases.

Back to Back Cruises

Agents are now able to create quotes using back to back cruises. So typically this would be a cruise leg to a certain destination followed by a hotel stay and/or travel to another departure port where they can pick up a second cruise. Importantly the total or package pricing in this type of quote has to be manually added due to complexity of components and cabins.

Example Back to back cruise quote : https://demo-staging-2.tprofile.com/your-quote/86a090fc-7904-4f48-aabe-08d7c69be923

To create a back to back cruise, after you have entered the first cruise and continue you will be presented with the page below. Here you can suimply create if its a single cruise quote or you can click on 'ADD ANOTHER' to create a back to back quote.

Bug on Flight Return

A bug previously reported when adding a return flight in a quote has now been resolved.

Bug on Pagination on certain pages

A bug that prevented viewing of pages 2 onwards on certain list pages has now been resolved.

Bug on CC and BCC with quotesA bug reported where cc and bcc where not working on certain communications to customers has now been resolved.
Transfer Time EditsThe first release of transfer times only had units of one hour available. This has been resolved and transfers can be applied as a decimal, eg, 0.5 hours. We will review this component going forward but in meantime it does cater for less than one hour transfers.
